The most talented player in the NBA left his beloved hometown of Cleveland (he grew up just 30 minutes south in Akron, Ohio) and “took his talents to South Beach” in search of an elusive title. But after blowing a sure-fire title last year against the Dallas Mavericks, where the Miami Heat were up 2-games-to-1 and up 15 points in the 4th quarter of the fourth game, and now being down in the title game against the Oklahoma City Thunder, James’ prospects of ending his career ring-less grow much greater.
That got us thinking: who are the most talented losers ever in sports? Better put, who are the greatest athletic marvels we have ever seen who could not, for whatever reason, ever secure a single title in their sport.
