Uncle Luke Ran for Mayor
Uncle Luke was one of hip-hop’s most famous public enemies in the early 90s thanks to his group, 2 Live Crew’s, raunchy rap songs and album covers. But in 2011, Luke decided went from enemy of the state to public figure when he ran for mayor of Miami-Dade county on a platform that included taxing strippers. Luke was able to garner 11 percent of the vote, but failed to win the election.
