Everyone seems to have a different story when it comes to the infamous nightclub brawl involving Chris Brown and Drake that happened last week at SoHo’s W.i.P nightclub. And while police are trying to make sense of the bloody fight, Drake who is intent on distancing himself from the scandal is apparently refusing to turn himself into police for questioning.
According to the New York Post, the police want to question everyone that was in the club before and after the fight, including Drake, who is alleged to have been the aggressor in the brawl and threw a bottle at Brown and his entourage. However, Drake refuses to speak to police.
“Why would he turn himself in when he did not commit any wrong-doing?” Drake’s rep, Kelly Bush, said in an e-mail to the Post.
Brown, however, has already spoken to police about the incident and he is being treated as a victim and possible witness in the crime.
Law-enforcement sources claim that Drake could be arrested if he doesn’t come forward, and may be hit with charges ranging from reckless endangerment to rioting if it’s determined that he threw the bottle.
“There’s a lot of people in that club who left. [The cops] want to talk to everyone in the club even if they left before that incident,” one source said.
Police Commissioner Ray Kelly explained that police are still a little stumped as to exactly what happened during the brawl.
“The detectives are looking at it and investigating it, and if an arrest is appropriate, an arrest is going to be made,” Kelly said. “When detectives got there, no one was there. Eight people were injured. The place was in disarray. They’re gathering information.”
