Bernard Hopkins Bets on Himself
In 2001, Middleweight bower Bernard Hopkins was offered $100,000 by GoldenPalace.com to wear a Henna tattoo. Being the businessman — or rather hustler — that he is, Bernard took the money and decided to bet on himself for his upcoming match with Felix Trinidad. After beating Trinidad, Bernard was able to take home both the middleweight championship belt and $400,000 from his bet.
