K. Michelle’s Musical Showcase
While trying to work her way back into the industry, K. Michelle hooks up with top producer Bryan Michael Cox to throw a showcase and invites all of Atlanta’s top record execs to hear her sing. And though K. Michelle is still worried that the industry still thinks of her as “crazy,” when it’s time to hit the stage, she pours her soul into the mic and completely wows the crowd. Though K. Michelle’s showcase was a success, we later learn that Karlie Redd told B. Cox that he signed the wrong artist and should’ve signed her instead. Later, K. Michelle meets with major record executive Jeff Robinson to talk about her career. He tells her that some industry people still see her as “crazy” and that she’s going to have to take responsibility for her past and make her second chance work.
