Newlywed Cheaters: Top 10 Cheating Cities
In 2009, a disturbing trend emerged: more newlyweds cheat before the ink is dry on the marriage certificate: “Infidelity is very common during the first year of marriage,” says Bonnie Eaker Weil, Ph.D., author of Adultery: The Forgivable Sin.
Regretfully, the trend continues, and may contribute to the 53 percent of marriages that end in divorce.
Those earlier studies have found that new husbands cheat because the skirt chase wasn’t out of their system after all, and, they are likely to start cheating on the night of their bachelor party. On the other hand, new wives cheat to get it out of the way before children enter the picture, or in response to being ignored or disturbed by the fleeting honeymoon.
