Though singer Adam Lambert didn’t win “American Idol” (he came in second place), after his loss, he publicly came out of the closet and released his debut album, For Your Entertainment, which debuted at No. 3 on the charts and sold 2 million copies worldwide. Adam recently became the first openly gay artist to take the top spot on the chart when his sophomore album, Trespassing, debuted at No. 1 in May.
