NeNe Leakes is continuing to deter detractors who’ve labeled her a one trick pony and is celebrating another new acting gig. The “very rich” Leakes was spotted in L.A. this week at NBC Universal’s 2012 Summer TCA Tour. As previously reported, Leakes will return to NBC’s hit “Glee” and will star in “The New Normal,” a new sitcom following the lives of a blended family centered around a gay couple.
While promoting her new series at the TCA 2012, Leakes looked stunning in yellow and spoke with SheKnows.com about finally walking in her purpose. “It’s wonderful to live your dream,” said Leakes. “I’ve always wanted to be an actress. Every year, for New Years I write down all of my goals and dreams and I put them in a Bible. At the end of the year, I go and pull the paper out and check that off, and check that off! So it feels really good to be able to live your dream. I’m so honored.”
Leakes’ new sitcom wil premiere this fall on NBC.
