Ever since the murder of Mike Brown, there has been an upheaval in the small town of Ferguson, Missouri. Peaceful protesters and angry citizens are now risking their lives to stand against the military that has taken over the streets. Forming blockades around gas stations, blocking off entry and exits from the city, and disallowing media to enter or fly above St. Louis is more than enough proof that martial law is in effect in Ferguson.


Thanks to social media, people around the world have banded together to speak out against the injustice approved by the U.S. government on their own people. Photos from people within the city have helped shed light on the true military activity that won’t be televised. While many wait for President Obama or other political figures to come save the day, it’s apparent that the people of Ferguson must band together to create a solid action plan that keeps people safe, yet continues to challenge the authority that sent martial law to Ferguson.
