Mimi and Stevie Go To Therapy

After several fights and lots of tears, Mimi and Stevie finally go to counseling. And while in session, Stevie J admits that he is a liar and claims that he’s no longer in love with Mimi, but he wants to fall back in love with her. But Stevie struggles to own up to his infidelity and his feelings for Joseline, which only bolsters Mimi’s lack of trust in him. But both Mimi and Stevie are put in the hot seat when the therapist asks them to address how their relationships with their mothers have affected their love life. Mimi explains that her mother abandoned her as a child for her religion, which has left her seeking love and validation in all the wrong places. Stevie, however, was abandoned by his mother when he was only eight years old, which left him cold and emotionally abusive towards the women in his life.
