Tired of being teased by her family and friends about her flat, “pancake” behind, Brown saved up enough money to get the illegal basement booty injections, a thriving underground industry. Today, no amount of money can reverse the devastating, life-changing tragedy that has resulted in Brown losing all of her limbs and nearly losing her life.
“I didn’t know if I wanted to look like Janet Jackson or J. Lo,” the Los Angeles cosmetologist, 46, told Essence magazine exclusively. “I just wanted a new, bigger booty.”
In 2004, Brown says she attended one of those booty “pumping parties” headed by an unlicensed person, to inject industrial-grade silicone into her buttocks. Costing Brown somewhere between $500 and $1,000, Brown said the repercussions have been nothing short of catastrophic. The area became intensely irritated and painful, and the skin blackened. By 2006 she says the silicone had hardened, causing severe pain and infection and inevitably required her to have lifesaving amputation of her limbs last year.
She told Essence the fact that she remains alive after all of that means she has a divine purpose, and she will spend the rest of her life warning other women and girls against cheap, back-alley procedures to “improve” upon their physical attributes.
But if you are not convinced, then perhaps these photos, some of them extremely disturbing, will serve as an effective deterrent against getting illegal booty injections.
