2004 Democratic National Convention
Obama’s life changed on July 27, 2004. It was the night he gave his unforgettable keynote speech during the 2004 Democratic National Convention. Obama was chosen to give the speech months after helping John Kerry campaign on the South Side of Chicago. Kerry was impressed by Obama’s charisma and pushed for him to become the keynote speaker.
