Obama worked vigorously to pass a bill that would provide universal healthcare. Dubbed “Obamacare” by republicans who viewed it as a socialist program, it was on the verge of dismantling Obama’s entire presidency. But after conservative Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts sided with Obama’s plan, it was a major victory and became another signature moment for Obama.
