Party of Bigots
The Republican Party, with an assist from the Tea Party, became a party of old radical white men who carried guns and hated blacks, gays and anyone else who didn’t look like them. Their blatant hate was a big turn-off to voters who saw the party as a group who never distanced themselves from bigots such as Ted Nugent and other supporters who voiced racist opinions after the election.
