Now we know that something shady was at play when 24-year-old aspiring star Sheldon Stephens contacted Sesame Street workshop and claimed that he had a sexual relationship with Kevin Clash, the Elmo puppeteer, when he was 16 years-old.
Sesame Street launched an investigation and found the allegations to be unlikely, although, Mr. Clash, now 52 years old, acknowledged that the relationship “was between two consenting adults.”
Afterwards, Stephens reversed his original statement and through his attorney, confirmed the two were consenting adults when they had the relationship.
