It’s been a rough few months for Katt Williams, but nothing could have prepared his fans for what happened during one of his concerts on Friday, Nov. 16, when the comedian suffered an onstage meltdown and had to abruptly cancel his show.
According to The YBF, who has a 15-minute video of the meltdown, Williams took the stage at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, Calif., and just mere minutes into his set, he began acting erratically. The report claims that Williams removed his shirt and was “sweating profusely while spewing out a rambling set of monologues.”
Things worsened when an irate Williams began arguing with a heckler and threatened to fight the man backstage, even telling him to bring his “b—h” with him.
Shortly afterwards, Williams was escorted off stage by his security team with many angry fans demanding a refund.
While there’s no official word yet on what caused Williams’ meltdown, one of the show’s comedians later came on stage and hinted that it was drug-related, saying, “This is what happens when you get your dope in Oakland, California!”
This is just the latest in a string of bad moments for Williams. In August, Williams got into a fight at a Young Jeezy concert and last month he was arrested for pulling a gun on fellow comedian Faizon Love. And just this month, Williams was hit with a $5 million lawsuit for allegedly slapping his female assistant.
We’re not exactly sure what’s going on with Williams, but clearly something’s gone awry in his world. Sadly, he’s not the only comedian to have a breakdown. Check out some other famous comedian meltdowns below. –nicholas robinson
