Miller gained notoriety for toting a gun on video while in the funeral procession for slain teen rapper Lil’ JoJo.
Lil’ JoJo, who had a rivalry with teen rap star Chief Keef, was gunned down earlier this summer as he rode on the back of a bike through his neighborhood with a friend. Violence broke out at the funeral as mourners and spectators mixed company during the service.
Chief Keef was not implicated in the murder of Lil’ JoJo, nor is he involved with the murder of Sherman Miller.
Police have said that Miller’s murder may have been related to his habit of robbing drug dealers.
Chicago Police Supt. Garry McCarthy says, “This has gotten way out of control. We have to ramp it up to make sure this behavior stops.”
