Dying man pleads to friend: “Don’t do it. I love you.”

Clauduis Jackson, 20, Giovanni Martinez, 16, members of the Spanish Gangster Disciples, were charged with the murder of Keith Shaw, 22.

Shaw was less than a block away from Theodore Roosevelt High School when Jackson and Martinez rode by and shot him. Shaw was fatally shot in the chest and abdomen; he was executed because gang leaders considered him a rival.

According to prosecutors, as the three men entered an alley, Jackson shot Shaw first and then handed his gun to Martinez to finish the job.

Shaw pleaded for his life:  “Nah, don’t do it Folks … I love you.”

Martinez pulled the trigger, striking Shaw at close range. The two men have confessed to their involvement in the killings and were held on $1 million bond for first-degree murder.
