Cruel Summer by Various Artists
Maybe we were spoiled by Kanye West’s fairly amazing track record, and maybe numerous delays raised anticipation to unrealistic levels; but the fact remains that this spotty effort from the G.O.O.D. Music camp didn’t quite knock it out of the park the way we’d hoped. A few solid moments doesn’t equal a great album. It’s a compilation that sounds like a compilation–in all of the worst ways.
