As grunge dominated rock radio in the early-to-mid 1990s, Courtney Love and Co. were the one hitmaking female-centric act. With enough angst and anger to stand alongside peers like Eddie Vedder, Billy Corgan and her legendary husband Kurt Cobain, Love became an icon for rebellious teenage girls in the Clinton era. (So what if there was one guy in the band?)
