New Orleans native Melanie N. Roussell earned her stellar reputation as communications director of the House Judiciary Committee, press secretary for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and as the Southern regional communications director for Barack Obama’s presidential campaign.
Roussell received a Bachelor of Arts in broadcast journalism from Florida A&M and a Master of Arts in public communication at American University.
