Former Atlanta Mayor Bill Campbell
Atlanta’s 57th mayor was convicted of three counts of tax evasion. On June 13, 2006, he was sentenced to 30 months in prison, ordered to serve a year on probation, pay a $6,000 fine and pay back more than $60,000 in taxes. He made several unsuccessful attempts to remain out of jail on an appeal bond.
