Shawty Lo says he was not arrested for failure to pay child support, despite what you may have heard.
It’s understandable that such a mistake could have been made especially since it appears that Shawty Lo’s camp orchestrated the stunt.
First, DJ Smallz released an image of Shawty Lo in handcuffs. (The policeman in the photo has an emblem from Atlanta).
Afterwards, Shawty Lo Tweeted that he was out of jail and back on his grind, and then several news sites reported that “Shawty Lo was arrested for outstanding warrants related to non-payment of child report.”
The arrest photo of the Atlanta rapper who fathered children with several women, circulated on the internet and drew vicious comments from readers who took issue with Shawty Lo’s now defunct reality show, “All My Babies Mamas.”
Now it appears that the arrest was a hoax, and misinformation that was fueled by the rapper himself.
The arrest photo is from the rapper’s video, “Petition,” Johnnie Cabbell, Shawty Lo’s manager explained in a statement.
