Calcium
It’s the most important supplements that women need today. Calcium is the most abundant nutrient in the body. It has recently become important for women in their 20s and 30s to start taking calcium supplements to avoid conditions such as osteoporosis, a condition in which the skeleton is weakened and bones break easily, as an older woman. The best way to get calcium is directly from food sources such as low-fat milk, yogurts and cheese. Other foods that contain good amounts of calcium are almonds, kale and broccoli. The recommended daily dose is 500 mg for women under 50 and 800 to 1000 mg for those over 50. If getting adequate amounts from a natural food source is unlikely, choose a calcium supplement from a local herb shop.
