The fast food chain thought it would be a funny promotion for their 99 cent menu to include a gag in a commercial where they jokingly ask 50 Cent to change his name to “99 Cent” as a promotion. Fiddy was not amused. His issue? He felt that people would take the ad seriously. So he sued them for using his name without his permission.
