While both Alicia Keys and Beyoncé have been omnipresent over the last two months, Beyonce appears to be more in command of the spotlight’s glare. She seems to be on a mission to re-establish herself as the biggest star in music — and so far, she’s more or less succeeded. Alicia, meanwhile, has made a few missteps that could send her over the “She’s-getting-annoying” edge of public opinion. So maybe she should take a second to re-think her approach. And retire “Girl on Fire.”
Overexposure doesn’t necessarily mean that you’re in too many places–it really means that you’re in too many places and the public is getting tired of you. And that, sadly, seems to be where Alicia Keys is headed.
