Longtime Major League Baseball player Melvin Hall, Jr. played professional baseball from 1981 to 1996 when he retired as a member of the San Francisco Giants. Fast forward to 2007 when allegations that he had raped a woman in 1999 came to light in Texas. Hall was investigated during which time it was revealed that two other victims existed, one the age of 12 and one the age of 15 at the times of the assaults. He was convicted on three counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child and two counts of indecency with a child and sentenced to 45 years in prison. Hall will not be eligible for parole until 2031 at which time he will be 71 years of age.
