Mark “Gator” Rogowski saw success on the professional skateboarding circuit in the 1980s when he was just a teen. This all came to a halt in 1991 when, after a period of alcoholism, he murdered 22-year-old Jessica Bergsten. Rogowski admitted to beating her in the head with a metal club before raping her, suffocating her and taking her body to the desert where he buried her in a shallow grave. He later confessed to the murder and rape and sentenced to 31 years in prison. In 2011, he was denied parole.
