Madonna Criticizes The Boy Scouts

Longtime gay rights activist Madonna played the role of defiant advocate, once again, when she showed up at the GLAAD Media Awards in a boy scout uniform to protest the group’s refusal to allow gay men in their ranks.

“I wanted to be a boy scout but they wouldn’t let me join. I think that’s f**ked up,” said Madonna before presenting news anchor, Anderson Cooper with the prestigious Vito Russo award, “Most people are not comfortable with things or people that they perceive as different from themselves and I would wager that if we just took the time to get to know each other, did our own investigation, looked beneath the surface of things, we would find that we’re not so different after all.”
