Study your next move: You should know the desired job as if you are already working in that capacity. This will require extra time and homework on your part to get up to speed. But if you can prove that you can do the job that you want to have, you exponentially raise the prospect of getting it over a similarly-qualified candidate. You may have to return to college and/or get additional certifications, but if you want it badly enough, you will do what it takes to get it.
