Porsha Stewart speaks on her divorce
After making headlines for the shocking news of her divorce, a “Real Housewife of Atlanta” is speaking out. Porsha Stewart took to social media Tuesday after her husband of only two years Kordell Stewart, filed a divorce petition. The shocking news came without warning to fans.
Similarly, the news was apparently shocking to Porsha who released a statement to US Weekly confirming that she had no idea her husband had taken to the court system.
“Mrs. Stewart is disappointed about her husband’s recent filing for divorce,” a rep for Porsha told Us. “Mrs. Stewart had held off on filing for a divorce herself and remained committed to the marriage because Mr. Stewart promised to work on the marriage with her. Instead, he misled her and she found out about the filing in the media. Mrs. Stewart hopes to resolve these personal issues privately with the support of her family, friends and strong faith.”
Porsha later released an informal statement on Instagram thanking fans for their support.
At least two of Stewart’s RHOA cast-mates have since taken to social media to voice their support for the socialite. Additionally, her estranged husband has released a statement via a lawyer as well.
