On their uber-classic debut, Paid In Full, Rakim elevated the art of emceeing. On this, their sophomore album, The R pushed himself to higher heights.  The duo’s first album is hard to top, and while their sophomore album may not have the same luster, it still boasts some of the best examples of pure, classic adjective-less hip-hop.
