Calf stretch
Stretching your calf is especially important if you are a runner. It reduces your chances of cramping up during your run. To perform the stretch stand at a wall with arms fully extended while placing one foot behind the other foot. Slowly bend your leg forward, keeping your opposite knee straight and heel on the floor. Hold your back straight and but keep your hips forward. Hold stretch for 30 seconds, then switch legs and repeat. If you don’t feel the stretch like you think you should, slightly bend your knee as you bend your opposite leg forward to stretch deeper. If you are unsure, ask a trainer to show you how to properly do the stretch to avoid injury.
