Hip-hop ambassadors Beyoncé and Jay-Z attacked by Stacey Dash and Republican Party

We’re still waiting for a double-platinum album done as a husband and wife collaboration. Maybe they were in the studio in Cuba making a record that they were going to distribute online through Roc Nation and all the revenue from this album would be used to fund children’s education at Morehouse and Spelman and some Cuban children would be able to attend HBCU schools like Howard and Hampton and Clark and FAMU. All of these proceeds from this record and downloads would be allowed to fund the UNCF so that it would have perpetual funding and that the Bill Gates Foundation would match that based on the needs of the community and the educational deficit that is becoming more obvious as we move through the final years of the Obama administration.

The attacks are unwarranted on Jay-Z and Beyoncé and the attention also sends a signal that their ability to be above and beyond the law as others see it can miseducate those who see their actions as reasons that they do things that don’t apply to them. We must understand that when you are the ambassador or people want what you have, they are able to do things that you may or may not ever be able to do in your lifetime based on the opportunity not being presented to you or based on the lack of whatever it is, the skill set that we believe both Beyoncé and Jay-Z to have. Attaining a new hip-hop agenda that is written and is understood and that can be heard in the voice with the collective success for the hip-hop nation is still waiting. We admire many people in the hip-hop nation whose agenda does not seem to be selfless. But the attack on two individuals who seem to garner press for trivial matters, while the lack of press attention to the increasing death tolls in Chicago where Kanye West was born and bred, and where the hip-hop nation is dying, is a travesty.
