What is a current hair trend that you are enjoying? Long hair is the business right now. You can’t even find it anymore; all the places are sold out and everyone is on three-week back orders just to get super long hair. Other than wearing long hair, color is still in. I’m glad that women are still playing with color, especially black women. The dark root thing is still going strong, which I appreciate because it allows women to try new color and be relaxed when it comes to getting their hair done. I also like the soft free-flowing look.
Do you think the shaved side look is something we should leave behind in 2013? I’m not a trend follower when it comes down to things. I feel that people in general should just do what works best for them. I like the shaved hair look but it is not for everyone.
What is your take on natural hair? I see a lot of women going back to natural. People feel that I’m against natural hair. It’s not that I’m against natural hair; I just feel that all natural styles are not for everyone. You just have to find that right natural style for you.
How can women keep their natural hair healthy? When it comes down to dealing with your natural hair, you have to get on a regimen. Women should get their ends trimmed every 4-6 weeks, as well as keeping the hair cleansed and moisturized. Be sure to drink a lot of water and take your vitamins. You want to do things that are protective to the hair.
