The SYNC technology has made it easier to choose and control your music, interior climate and even carry on a hands free conversation. But that’s not where the wonders of the Ford SYNC end; now, with the AppLink for SYNC, you can actually let your cell phone and your car communicate with one another.
With the AppLink active, you can access and control applications on your cell phone using Ford SYNC. Talk to your SYNC interface and pull up applications from your cell phone – including scrolling through, selecting and playing your favorite tunes from your phone’s play lists, and listen to various apps through your car’s speakers. The best part: you never have to lift a finger from the steering wheel to execute any of these cool features; you just speak to SYNC, and it does the work. Think of it as Apple’s SIRI on some serious steroids.
Along with SYNC, Ford has also utilized some serious technology to create its Mobile Showcase. Ford’s Mobile Showcase is another interactivity tool that works with your smart phone — allowing you to check out a selection of exclusive apps, news on Ford vehicles and view a vast collection of Ford vehicles with consumer information that can help you choose your next Ford car. –mark anderson
