Arrest made in the death of Trina’s brother. Wilbrent ‘Goonk’ Bain Jr.
An arrest has been made in connection of the death of rapper Trina’s brother. As previously reported, Wilbrent Bain Jr. was killed Tuesday in northwest Miami. Police report that they’ve since arrested a 27-year-old man in connection with the fatal shooting.
Ron Dobson, who was reportedly a friend of Bain aka “Goonk,” now faces a second-degree murder charge. According to authorities, Dobson and Bain had a dispute around 9:35 a.m. that turned deadly. When Bain attempted to get off his bicycle, Dobson pulled out a firearm from his waistband and shot him multiple times. Dobson has since confessed to the crime.
So far Trina has not commented on her brother’s death but has been receiving an outpouring of support. This story is still developing. –danielle canada
