After exploding as a solo artist with the brilliant Off the Wall, Michael Jackson returned to the fold to record with his brothers. The result was their greatest album as a group, albeit its hard to ignore the fact that MJ is driving the entire record. Featuring some of Michael’s strongest singing and the brothers’ best songwriting, it’s a somewhat undervalued bridge between 70s soul Michael and the megastar “King of Pop” he was starting to become.
