Despite what Keyshawn Johnson says, Odd Future frontman Tyler, the Creator is saying that he’s the guilty party involved in the Justin Bieber neighborhood speeding controversy. Bieber was criticized by Johnson and other neighbors for speeding through their gated community in Calabasas, Calif. After Johnson allegedly witnessed Bieber speeding, he confronted the young pop star at his home. Bieber also possibly faced reckless driving charges.
But after the singer’s reps came forward and stated that it was Tyler behind the wheel of the car, the rapper confirmed on Twitter that he was indeed the person driving.
“That Was Me Behind The Wheel Of Justins Vehicle. Don’t Blame Him,” Tyler tweeted. “People Are Actually Evil Swearing Up And Down That It Was Who It Wasn’t.”
Bieber’s team previously stated that Johnson saw Bieber at his home because Bieber was parking the low-riding vehicle in his garage after Tyler returned it. Bieber also allegedly has video footage of Tyler driving the car.
For his part, former NFL star Johnson says he knows what he saw — and he isn’t buying Tyler’s confession.
“Look man, I know the difference between a black kid driving a car and a white kid driving a car,” said Johnson, according to ABC News.
It remains to be seen if this is the end of the bad blood between Bieber and Johnson.
