Being a father is a tough job and parenting from behind bars is an even tougher ordeal. For some of the hip-hop dads, their time behind bars was used as a reflective experience to stay on the straight and narrow. For others, time spent in the courtroom and behind bars wasn’t a wake-up call, it was a leisurely walk in the park.
