No. 2 Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd (1973)
Everyone seems to own this album. Dark, beautiful and mysterious, this concept album about the isolation and neuroses of modern life was the brainchild of Roger Waters, but the music is elevated by the voice and guitar of David Gilmour. Floyd had lost its original leader, Syd Barrett, but by the time Dark Side was released—no one was questioning this band’s direction.
