Michael Jordan’s only daughter, Jasmine Mickael, seemed mostly unfazed by the national attention she drummed up when she revealed that she is gay via social media.
The comely 20-year-old posted photos of her hugged up tight with girlfriend, Syracuse guard Carmen Tyson-Thomas, on Instagram last week. She also quipped pensively, “that little closet is holding me back.”
Other than that, she is actually the child who looks most like her legendary father. And sports is obviously a hereditary trait that was passed down to her and her brothers, as both young men played college basketball. Jasmine is a Syracuse University student who is majoring in — what else? — sports management, even though she does not play sports herself. She is a big enough sports fan that she acquired season tickets to the Orangemen sporting events.
As far as the attention she has received recently, including mediatakeout.com, she merely flicked it off her shoulders and kept pushing forward.
