Black Hollywood united at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival Thursday night. The Toronto International Film Festival, which last year alone screened over 372 films from 72 countries, is a highly attended film festival held each September in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

What sets this film festival apart from others is that it is not reserved for Hollywood’s A-list but open to the public, making it one of the fastest growing film events around the world.

Guests included La La Anthony and hubby Carmelo Anthony who attended to support 12 Years A Slave directed by Chiwetel Ejiofor, in addition to her newest flick 1982 co-staring Hill Harper.

LaLa raved over her experience saying, “12 Years A Slave is the most powerful, intense, emotional movie I’ve ever seen.Truly a masterpeice. Chiwetel Ejiofor is brilliant.”

Other standout guests included Terrence Howard and Alfre Woodard.
