On Tuesday night, Sep. 10 2013, Lincoln Motor Company and Uptown Magazine collaborated for the first of their four-city panel talk back series, the “Lincoln Journey Series.” The panel, hosted by lifestyle maven Bevy Smith, featured television and film producer Mara Brock Akil, fashion designer Woody Wilson and television and nusic executive Carmen Murray to discuss their personal journeys to success.

The program was designed to bring influencers, tastemakers and urban professionals together that embody the spirit of pursuing dreams, embracing purpose and celebrating successes. The series explores and highlights also emphasize the experiences that notable African Americans embark upon. It will make its way to Dallas and D.C. before concluding in Atlanta in October and is an opportunity for Lincoln to bring influencers, tastemakers and urban professionals together while reintroducing the luxury automotive brand through all-new vehicles such as the Lincoln MKZ premium midsize sedan
