CEO of ‘rolling out’ magazine, Munson Steed, has a board meeting with reality star Toya Wright
Munson Steed, CEO of rolling out magazine, linked up with reality star and author of a New York Times best seller Toya Wright in Detroit, MI, Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013. The dynamic duo met up to discuss the Detroit Recovery Project as well as the VIP Know Your Status campaign for HIV. The meeting was called to order at Davenport University by Steed and later commenced at Wayne State University. The meeting was a major success and began with a very vibrant and inspirational presentation by Toya Wright.
Wright captivated the audience by delving into her childhood and experiences of being a teenage mother. She and Steed encouraged others to get tested for HIV/AIDS and become aware of their status.
“You can’t be a VIP until you check for HIV,” said Munson Steed, who also shared some of his entrepreneurial successes, which includes being CEO of Steed Media, Inc.
The energy during the presentation soared when the business savvy Toya Wright shared some helpful insight about how she became the owner of two successful boutiques — one in Atlanta, Garb Shoetique, and the other Garb boutique in New Orleans.
“Always follow your dreams and believe and know your mental and financial status so that you can invest in your dreams,” Wright said. Wright is also the owner of Glamore Glam cosmetic lip gloss line and The Toya Wright Hair Collection.
The meeting wrapped up with some priceless inspiration from both Wright and Steed and a photo shoot with some members from the student board. –tiana dudley
