Rapper Cash Out denies he was robbed at Waffle House

Waffle House robbery

Just two days ago, three young men were robbed of nearly $40,000 in jewelry and iPhones at the Buckhead Waffle House on Piedmont Road in Atlanta just after 6:30 a.m. The men had just left the nearby Room Service Lounge, arrived at the diner and sat in a booth in the back of the restaurant, when about five minutes later, two male suspects joined the men and robbed them with a semi-automatic handgun.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, one of the victims, Vincent Lamar “Cash Out” Robinson, was robbed of a $6,000 gold chain and medallion and a diamond-covered Rolex watch values at $20,000. The second victim, Raheem Jefferson, was robbed of a Rolex Submariner watch valued at $12,000 and a $500 iPhone, while Derrick Johnson lost an iPhone 5, valued at $500.

Due to many news outlets confusing Robinson with Atlanta-based rapper Cash Out, whose real name is John-Michael Hakim Gibson, the rapper and his publicist, C.J. Carter, have released the following statement:

In spite of wCash Outhat you may have heard or read online; regarding an alleged robbery that involved national recording artist Ca$h Out, we would like to inform fans, media, and the general public, that my client was not robbed. The incident in question; pertains to another individual that is unfamiliar to us, and with whom we have no ties. My client is in great spirits and is doing well, as he is busy enjoying the success of his latest project entitled “Ya Feel Me.” Our prayers are with the young man, who was the victim of this horrific assault.
