Chris Chiappetta reportedly used heroine before teaching students and passed out in front of his class. According to NBC Philadelphia, Chiappetta, 26, was hired as a substitute teacher at a Pittsburgh high school on Oct. 16.
Chiappetta took a break while teaching his class and decided to use heroine. When Chiappetta returned to the class, he passed out and students ran to get help.
School administrators were able to wake him, but he initially denied being on any drugs. When police arrived, they searched Chiapetta and found four baggies of heroin in his pocket. They also found marijuana in his car.
Chiappetta was arrested and faces drug charges and endangering the welfare of children. His bond was set at $10,000.
