Air Jordan sneakers are the most coveted athletic shoes in the world. The demand is so high that a 37-year-old police officer decided to risk his career over a pair of them.

According to Dallas News, Sgt. Antoine Williams stole a pair of Air Jordan sneakers from a suspect during a drug raid. On Oct. 16, Williams and several other police officers conducted a drug raid at a home in East Fort Worth, Texas.

Once the raid was complete, a man who lived in the home complained that he was missing his Air Jordan sneakers. Several people, including a few police, said they saw Williams leaving the home with sneakers in his hand.

On Oct. 22, police searched Williams’ home, found the sneakers and arrested him. Williams, a 13 year veteran of the police force has been placed on restricted duty.
