Ender Wiggin (Asa Butterfield) is a brilliant young man with a good deal of promise as a military leader. So when the aliens who decimated the Earth previously return to finish the job, Colonel Graff (Harrison Ford) decides to press young Wiggin into service.
Although this film is science fiction, it’s not much off what happens in real life; young men, youngsters really, are sent into battle by old men (sorry Harrison) to save the republic, or face, or oil or whatever else is at stake. Stargazers, both in the literal and figurative sense, will love this film. –p.d. lee
