A pastor in Macon, Ga. shot and killed himself before Sunday morning service on Nov. 10. According to a reports by 13 WMAZ, 800 members of Bibb Mt. Zion Baptist Church waited for Rev. Teddy Parker Jr. before church service.
However, after his family and members became worried about his whereabouts, his wife decided to look for him. Rev. Parker, 41, was found by his wife in front of their home with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Members of the church said that Parker often preached against suicide, but he also told members that he didn’t feel as if God was hearing him.
Parker’s family is asking for privacy during this matter. He is survived by his wife and two kids.
